More layouts

All of my scrapbooking has been super simple lately, almost nothing for embellishments, just patterned paper, cardstock and pictures, but I'm enjoying the clean, spare look. For now. I may well be back into lumpy by next week.

Crop

I went to a 12 hour crop yesterday, lots of fun! Didn't get a huge amount done, but did finish a couple of layouts...

A Michaels cheapy wood frame, painted with copper craft paint and 'blinged' with adhesive gemstones (Heidi Swapp and dollar bin)

New paper

I admit it, I have a soft spot for scrapbooking paper... to the point where it's unlikely I'll ever be able to use everything I have. Unfortunately that doesn't stop me from buying more...

Many stamps were harmed...

Many stamps (ok, just 3) were harmed in the production of this photo :) Sharp Kai scissors and a sheet of EZ mount turned a set of three sort of useless SU stamps into 34 very useful message stamps for card making :)

Just a layout

I haven't posted in forever, life getting the better of me :( Here's a layout I did of the three kids tobogganing. Bazzill CS and Bo Bunny papers.

Christmas cards

4 cards I threw together for a challenge (I sent out digi-hybrid cards this year but it's always nice to have a few regular cards on hand).

Stamps are Cornish Heritage Farms, Hero Arts, Michaels Dollar bin and I forget the ornament stamp, Santa image from the internet, Bazzill CS, and assorted bits of paper and ribbon that were lying on my desk.

I love these little Bellas.

MIL cards

I'm making some cards for my MIL for Christmas, and they have to be fairly flat (no lumps, not much layering). Here are a few of the first.

Finally got a chance to play with Hanna on this very simple card.

Christmas Joy folds

Started a couple of Christmas cards, still having too much numbness in my hands to really do a lot but I did have fun with these. They're joy fold cards, one horizontal, one vertical. Papers are bazzill and DCWV Christmas glitter stack, stamps are SU and - I forget the other.

Scrappin'

A couple of pages, very simple, it's all I can really manage right now.

Score!

Check out my major score at the local Dollarama... sets of 5 coordinated spools of ribbon, nearly the same as American Crafts ribbons (1 meter of each pattern) for $1, packets of 36 bling brads, exactly like MM (in 6 different colours) for $1. My Dollarama rocks! It's hit and miss, but when they've just had a fresh shipment you can find some wicked little scrappin' treasures!

Another challenge

This time a painted background challenge, the background here is painted with twinkling H2Os, very shimmery IRL.

Doodly-doo

A doodle challenge at ACP. I suck at doodling (and apparently at keeping my stamping straight too)

Beantown album

I finally finished the album of my Boston scrapping weekend (October 2006, eesh, better late than never). Here is the first page, which is just Bazzill, dollar store PP and word art by moi. Forgive the glare, I didn't take it out of the page protector.

PS - this is 8x8 and the album is an SEI preservation album (and the metal clasps are rusting despite never having been out of the bag before now, disappointing to be sure).

Teacher appreciation cards

Here are the first four cards I've made for my kindergartener's teacher, as a thank you for all she's done (she really was a wonderful teacher). They're based on Valerie Stangle's sketch (simple but elegant and amazing). I moved the sentiment down to the bottom though, and darnit I neeeeeed more French sentiments!

All of the stamps are SU (Send a Celebration and Mon Nounours Préféré), coloured with twinkling H2Os, patterned paper is from Michaels (My mind's eye?) and is glittered, cardstock is bazzill, ribbon is from my stash.
