Beate's Sketch challenge #3

I've never made a square card before so Beate's card sketch challenge was just the motivation to push me out of my little box (or perhaps into it?). I flipped sides for the large and small panels (the embossed words looked better that way). My focal image is a bit too small and it needs some brads or bling or something to fancy it up, but I think it's cute anyway.

Pink CS and card base by bazzill, yellow CS unknown and embossed in the cuttlebug, Provocraft PP, stamps by studio g and SU, staz-on ink and twinkling H2Os to colour the image.

A quick birthday card

I threw this together for a friend who has a birthday Saturday, it's just papers from a slab and studio g clear dollar stamps on watercolour paper, coloured in with twinkling H2Os.

Joy fold gift card holder

I adapted the joy fold card (shown on Beate John's blog to be a gift card holder (with the help of my handy-dandy notcher). This card is made with bazzill cardstock, Die Cuts with a View patterned papers, bella stamp in staz-on on watercolour paper, and Michael's dollar bin clear stamp sentiment (love those things). Then I made 6 more of them for a swap :) (1 is missing from the picture). I love paper piecing with these Bella stamps!

New rubbah!

My eagerly anticipated Bellas finally came today, so I wasted no time in breaking them in! Here's a little card I threw together for a friend who needs some cheering up :)

Made with bazzill cardstock, SU patterned paper and scalloped sticker, Bella stamp for the main image and dollar-bin clear stamp from Michael's for the sentiment. The Bellas are stamped in staz-on on watercolour paper, and watercoloured with SU inks (and one has a paper pieced dress)

Stipple challenge

One of the challenges on A Charming Place this month is stippling. I've had stippling brushes forevah, but have seldom used them for anything other than pearl-ex. I'm still not a huge fan of stippling, but I do like the softness it gives this background.

The card base is bazzill, the back panel is watercolour paper stippled with Cool Carribean, Ballet Blue and Passion Pink ink and run through the cuttlebug, Happy Harmony stamp set and a brass butterfly charm from A Charming Place.

Cool Cat card

I'm a little surprised this set is being retired, it's really quite versatile. I haven't used it a whole lot myself lately in all honesty, but I love the hip retro feel.

This card is a mish-mash of bits I had lying on my messy desk - a twinkling H2O coloured flower from SU's 'Delight in Life' SAB set, patterned papers from a Provocraft slab, cheap Michael's green cardstock for the base, and run through the cuttlebug for part of the background, purple bazzill, black checkered Offray ribbon and cool cat himself stamped in purple versacolour ink, outlined in black pen, with glitter added to his eyes and collar, and doodles around him. He's off in the mail to a purple-loving friend.
